Zero Waste Europe paper sounds the alarm for EU failing to rein in emissions in the textiles sector

Brussels – A  recent paper highlights the emissions gap that apparel industry giants will face if no urgent action is taken to prevent overproduction by governments.

Published by the environmental network Zero Europe, the paper notes that despite being the top buyer of clothes globally, the EU has yet to set concrete measures on textile waste prevention, thereby cancelling out any progress towards a sustainable fashion industry.
